Old Mission Lighthouse through the Trellis

Old-Mission-Lighthouse-through-TrellisOld-Mission-Lighthouse-through-Trellis I like this side view of the Old Mission Lighthouse through the Trellis.  I took this on my visit to Traverse City last year, but as I was going through my Traverse City photos from a few weeks ago, I came across this view.  The fish-eye lens used on my Fuji X-Pro 2 allowed me to frame the lighthouse with the trellis that frames the sidewalk up to the lighthouse.  The white of the trellis and the lighthouse made this a perfect opportunity to process this photo in black and white.  I used a high key style to accentuate the white trellis which draws my eyes forward to the lighthouse.  The fish-eye lens can be a challenge to use as it brings in almost 180 degrees of view, but in this case it worked wonderfully.
