Bridgeton

Bridgeton-Covered-Bridge-2x3Bridgeton-Covered-Bridge-2x3 It was a nice afternoon today and we decided to drive over to Bridgeton, Indiana to see the covered bridge there and take a few photos.  I knew this would be a great chance to give my Nisi 10 stop and 6 stop ND filters a try to see how they would smooth the running water and allow me to remove people who might be moving around in the image.  With the two filters attached to my Olympus 7-14 lens the exposure at f/7.1 took 166 seconds.  I manually focused the camera and then used the Nisi iPhone app to tell me how long of exposure to use with the 16 stops difference.  It was pretty slick to have an app handle all the math for me.  I had hoped for a little better cloud cover to get more blur in the sky, but it was mostly sunny while shooting in Bridgeton.  Overall, I feel the use of the two stacked filters was a success for my first time out.  These filters will be put to good use whenever I am photographing around water.
